Presentation Evening 2020
Just before the Lockdown and all of our face to face business stopping the Squadron held its annual presentation evening. Awards were presented in recognition of outstanding achievement by our Cadets in a variety of different areas. All of the Cadets who have achieved exam passes, passed courses and represented the squadron or Wing in sporting events were given their awards. Six new cadets were also enrolled and officially welcomed into the Squadron.
This year's trophies and winners are as follows:
Tornado Trophy - Awarded to the Cadet who has joined in the last 12 months who has shown the most promise & attended most activities: Cadet E. WEST
The Les Baldry Marksman - For the Cadet or Cadet NCO who has shown the best application of marksmanship skills: Flight Sergeant T. BEDWELL
The Warrant Officers Shield - Best attendance and Uniform standard throughout the year: Corporal C. MUNRO
Alan Martin Memorial Trophy - Best academic results through the training system over the past 12 months: Flight Sergeant S. PULL
The Commanding Officers Award - Awarded by the commanding officer in recognition of outstanding achievement: Flight Sergeant S. PULL
The Dexterous Dobson Award For Dexterity - Awarded to the person showing the greatest lack of dexterity throughout the preceding 12 months: CI A. BUCKINGHAM…. Again….
The Chloe Smithson Memorial Shield for Cadet of The Year - The highest achieving & participating cadet over the preceding 12 months: Cadet M. EAGLE
The Hart Cup - The Cadet or Cadet NCO who has contributed most to the Squadron development over the preceding 12 months: Flight Sergeant T. BEDWELL
The Miller Trophy - Outstanding sporting achievement: Cadet S. PARKER
The Mayoral Trophy - The Cadet who has been most involved with fundraising over the preceding 12 months: Cadet M. CUNLIFFE
